In this interactive virtual workshop, we will guide you in discovering how to actively shape and maximize your mentee experience. Together we’ll explore how to build trust, show up with professionalism, and create space for honest and vulnerable dialogue. With practical strategies like asking meaningful questions, taking initiative, and reflecting on feedback, you’ll leave feeling confident about how to take ownership of your learning and strengthen your mentor-mentee partnership.

Join Senior Mentor Coaches Karen Friedman and Sonja Pullen in this interactive workshop which will examine the challenges and opportunities that arise when mentoring across intercultural, socio-economic, and generational differences. We will also explore the unique perspectives and needs of students who are new to Canada or experiencing social isolation. Through guided discussion, practical strategies, live demonstration and a chance to practice, participants will gain tools to build trust, nurture a sense of belonging, and adapt their mentoring style to support diverse mentees effectively.
