
Andrea Sheehy
Biography
Andrea is a third year PhD student in the Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning at the ֱ (OISE), University of Toronto. She has completed degrees in English and Political Science (Honours B.A.) at University of Toronto, Library & Information Science (M.S.), and Educational Technology (M.A). She has worked in higher education since 2010 as both an User Education/Instruction Librarian, as well as Instructional Designer at Cornell University, Harvard Medical School, and University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Her research interests are computer-supportive collaborative learning, including the ability to scope and drive the use of metrics, learning analytics, measuring high-order learning, chat-mediated learning, and cognitive assistants in digital mediated environments, drawing on theories of behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism.
